Livorno have signed veteran striker Claudio Bellucci from Sampdoria on a permanent basis, the club have announced.
After having bolstered their defence by adding Andrea Esposito from Genoa on Tuesday, the Amaranto have moved to strengthen their attacking line-up in light of Antonio Candreva's proposed move to Juventus.
A statement on the club's official website reads:
"AS Livorno Calcio communicates the aquisition of the sporting rights of the player Claudio Bellucci from Sampdoria.
"Claudio Bellucci will be presented to the press today, Wednesday, January 20, at the Centro Coni of Tirrenia."
Meanwhile, reports on Sky Sport Italia claim relegation strugglers Catania have signed former Barcelona striker Maxi Lopez from Gremio officially. However, these reports have been unconfirmed by the Etnei.
