Napoli midfielder Jesus Datolo is on the verge of completing his switch to Greek side Olympiacos, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
The report claims an agreement between both parties has been reached, and that the player will leave for Greece on Sunday morning.
A contract will be signed over the coming days once the club's announce the move as official.
Datolo was not at the team's training session at Castelvolturno on Saturday, fuelling speculation he had already flown to Athens. However, it was concluded that the cause of his absence was the flu.
The player is expected to set up shop at Olympiacos, on loan, until the end of the season. Datolo has played 13 times in Serie A this term.
It is believed Datolo asked for a transfer in order to gain more first-team action, an attempt to improve his chances of securing a World Cup place with Diego Maradona's Argentina.
Olympiacos appear to have beat off stiff competition from Paris-Saint Germain who were also tracking the player.
