Roma forward Jeremy Menez is being followed by Olympique Marseille and he could return to Ligue 1 by the end of the month, according to reports on both sides of the Italo-French border.
L'Equipe claims Marseille are planning a move for the Frenchman after missing out on a deal for Inter winger Amantino Mancini. Menez is seen as an adequate alternative to the Brazilian.
Menez has endured a troubled season under Claudio Ranieri. The coach recently criticised him following a poor performance against Cagliari. The hitman apologised for the incident, but Il Tempo subsequently claimed he had handed in a transfer request, fuelling speculation he was set for an exit.
The 22-year-old joined the Lupi in 2008 to replace Marseille target Mancini, who left the capital to join Inter.
