Inter are tracking the Benfica duo of Brazilian midfielder Ramires and Argentinian striker Angel Di Maria as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad.
Il Corriere Dello Sport reports Inter scout Luis Suarez has been watching the Portuguese outfit and has paid particular attention to the two players. Suarez has seen Ramires and Di Maria in action three times so far this season, as the Nerazzurri take a significant step to opening up the early stages of possible negotiations.
Inter director Marco Branca did not shrink away from the question when asked about the club's interest in the pair. He suggests a move is unlikely to take place in January, but could go ahead in June.
"Di Maria and Ramires are two interesting players," he told 24 Horas.
"We will see what happens in June."
The report goes on to claim that the Beneamata's good relationship with Benfica could help spark a move into life, as the Italians sent David Suazo on loan there in 2008.
