Inter grabbed three points following a 1-0 win over Chievo Verona to extend their lead at the top of the table, but it was Jose Mourinho's and Mario Balotelli's post match interviews that provided the entertainment.
The coach has confirmed Patrick Vieira will be leaving for pastures new, claiming an English side where a better wage deal for the player was his likely destination.
"I am super satisfied for the result as these games decided many things during the season," Mourinho told Sky Sport Italia after the game.
"We were fantastic today on every front and we worked incredibly. The whole team.
"In particular Vieira was great in his last game for us. He is a player that we will certainly miss now that he is leaving.
"It was the best way to say goodbye to us and I wish him all the best in his new life.
"I don't know where he is going. He doesn't have to tell anyone. England? I think so.
"We couldn't have stopped him from leaving."
Despite their win though, matters were soured as Balotelli alleges the Veronese crowed racially abused him.
"Every time I come here to play the City of Verona always disgusts me even more," said the striker in response to crowd abuse.
"I am happy with the win and with my goal too."
The game was marred by controversy after the referee failed to award Chievo a penalty after Ricardo Quaresma handled the ball in the box.
