Report: Juventus Keen On Fulham Loan Deal For Christian Poulsen

Contrary to Spanish press reports suggesting that Juventus might use Christian Poulsen as bait to capture Barcelona centre-back Martin Caceres, La Gazzetta dello Sport today claims that the 29-year-old midfielder’s future could lie at Premier League club Fulham.

Poulsen is reportedly not part of Juve boss Ciro Ferrara’s plans, but the ex-Sevilla man has turned down a number of offers this summer.

Juve were prepared to accept a €7million bid from Turkish side Fenerbahce last month, but the player said he didn't want to move there and vowed to remain in Turin and fight for his place.

He was also linked with a return to his former team Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga, where Hamburg and Werder Bremen have also shown an interest.

Now Fulham have reportedly enquired after the defensive midfielder and Juve are hoping he will at least agree to accept a loan move to Craven Cottage.

Poulsen earns around €3m per season at the Olimpico and his departure would allow the Old Lady to reinvest the money on a defender, with Lyon wing-back Fabio Grosso and Lecce’s Andrea Esposito top of their hit-list.
