Marco Marchionni has confirmed his penchant for Fiorentina and he is hoping a deal can be reached so he can complete his proposed move to Florence.
The Italian midfielder was set to join the Viola as part of a €25 million deal which will see Felipe Melo head the other way. As things stand, a difference related to the player's terms is slowing down the conclusion of a deal, but the Italian is staying hopeful.
"Fiorentina are my first choice, we are just waiting that a few details are resolved," Marchionni told Firenzeviola.it.
"I will run to Florence in order to marry Fiorentina's project. It's a big chance for me and they are a big club with ambition. I am enthusiastic about wearing the Viola jersey."
Earlier, Marchionni's agent told Goal.com he harboured hopes that a deal would be concluded, but hinted that any eventual agreement is down to both clubs.
