Palermo have taken a look at Inter defender Nelson Rivas as new coach Walter Zenga tries to strengthen the back-line ahead of next season.
According to Tuttopalermo.net, the Inter and Colombia international is being tipped to join the Rosanero this summer after failing to become a regular part of Jose Mourinho's squad.
Voices in Milan claim Rivas is one of the players who is likely to be included in Mourinho's plans to cut down the size of his squad, and the Sicilians are ready to welcome him.
However, signing the 26-year-old will not be easy as both Siena and Bari are also reportedly interested in his services. Rivas still has two years left to run on his Nerazzurri contract, but Palermo are not keen on buying him outright.
The Rosanero are more inclined to offer him a loan deal if they take their interest further forward. The stopper no longer seems part of the 'Special One's' plans and reports in Italy seem certain he will leave.
