Udinese President Pozzo: Juventus Have To Pay For Gaetano D'Agostino

Juventus have been challenged to show their money or forget about the midfielder...
Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo has told Juventus they need to meet his club's demands or forget about signing Gaetano D'Agostino.

The clubs have been locked in talks for the last few weeks over the Italian midfielder, but the deal has become stuck on the player's price. The Friulani are asking for around €20 million plus the co-ownership of a Juve player. Juventus only want to offer €12m. The gap is large enough to threaten the deal, and Pozzo has issued the Old Lady with a warning.

"I have the impression that Juventus have not really realised the value of D'Agostino," Pozzo told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

"The solution doesn't depend on us. It depends on Juventus. D'Agostino is an important player and once they realise this they will pay up or the deal will not take place.

"If D'Agostino was a Juventus, Milan or Inter player now, he would be worth twice what we are asking - I am sure of it."

The latest reports from Italy suggest a deal is likely to be thrashed out today.
