The agent of Manchester City's Felipe Caicedo has claimed that he has received plenty of enquiries with regard to the 20-year-old's availability during the close-season.
The tall striker is expected to leave Eastlands this summer as Roque Santa Cruz has arrived from Blackburn Rovers, while Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o and Argentina international Carlos Tevez have also been heavily linked with the Citizens.
While the 23-time capped Ecuador international, who has scored six goals for La Tri, may have slipped down the Citizens' pecking order, it appears that he has won many admirers elsewhere.
"There is a huge amount of interest in Felipe across the world," Caicedo's representative Saif Rubie told Sky Sports.
"There are offers on the table and we will look at all the scenarios when Felipe returns from holiday in Ecuador.
"At this point of his career Felipe wants to
be playing regularly and he did very well when he was given the
opportunity last season."
It is thought that Portuguese giants Sporting CP are interested in acquiring the services of the former Basel star.
Premier League duo West Ham United and Wigan Athletic are also said to be keeping tabs, but it appears the possibility of remaining with City has not been ruled out either.
"Everyone knows Sporting are ready to
take Felipe as are other clubs in the Premier League and elsewhere in
Europe and we will look at all options open to us before a decision is made," Rubie added.
"If a suitable offer arrives we will look at
it, but if Manchester City want to keep him and offer Felipe a new deal
he would consider that also.
"We will sit down and try and resolve Felipe's future very soon."
