Report: Genoa To Sign Ricardo Quaresma From Inter

The Portuguese winger is set to join the Grifoni in part-exchange for Milito and Motta...

Inter completed a swoop for Genoa pair Diego Milito and Thiago Motta at the start of the week and La Gazzetta dello Sport today suggests that midfielder Ricardo Quaresma could be part of the deal.

The former Porto man joined the Serie A champions last summer for a fee of €24 million but failed to impress at the San Siro and was loaned out to Chelsea during the January transfer window.

The English giants will not, however, make the move permanent this summer and the 25-year-old was expected to be given a second chance by Jose Mourinho.

But it has now been suggested that Genoa are eager to gamble on the ‘trivela’ specialist and are prepared to pay €10m to sign him in a co-ownership deal.

Genoa have valued Motta and Milito at around €40m and even though the terms of the deal are not yet known, several other players are expected to move to Marassi in part-exchange, including Robert Acquafresca, Leonardo Bonucci and Francesco Bolzoni.

The Rossoblu have already snapped up Sergio Floccari from Atalanta and are about to reach an agreement with Siena over midfielder Houssine Kharja, while they are also said to be on the verge of luring Hernan Crespo, who will be out of contract next month.
