Report: Goran Pandev To Ditch Lazio To Join Juventus

Although Lazio president Claudio Lotito will once again meet with striker Goran Pandev this morning to try and persuade the 25-year-old to extend his stay in the Eternal City, it looks increasingly likely that the hitman will instead team up with Juventus.

The former Inter man will be out of contract next year and is expected to turn down Lotito’s proposal of a new deal worth €1.5 million per season.

Pandev is said to be keen on a move to Juve, who are prepared to tie him down until 2013 with wages of €2.5m per year.

But it will not be easy for the Bianconeri to strike a deal with Lotito, who values the player at around €20m.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Juve will table a €10m bid plus the services of Argentine midfielder Sergio Almiron, who has been on loan with Fiorentina this term.

But negotiations between the two clubs could go beyond the Pandev affair. Juve have also set their sights on wing-backs Aleksandar Kolarov and Lorenzo De Silvestri, while the Biancocelesti are eyeing midfielder Claudio Marchisio and defender Paolo De Ceglie.
