Inter’s Mancini
has failed to live up to the expectations that surrounded his move from Roma at
the commencement of the season.
He has struggled
to perform well on a consistent basis and thus has rarely featured
for the Nerazzurri this term under the club’s new boss, Jose Mourinho.
With this in
mind, the reigning Italian champions are keen to offload their Brazilian flop,
and according to the latest reports from Mundo Deportivo, the technical
director at Inter, Marco Branca, has spotted a potential replacement at Real
Madrid.
Wesley Sneijder
is the man that is currently being tracked by the San Siro giants, and he is seen as
an ideal addition to Mourinho’s squad.
Inter are
confident of striking a deal with the Spanish side, as they have been long-term
admirers of Mancini, even back in his Roma days.
Neither club have confirmed these details, but it looks set to be an extremely
interesting development.
Inter have also been linked with Rafael van der Vaart, Sneijder's compatriot and club-mate.
