Robert Acquafresca Has A 50 Per Cent Chance Of Returning To Inter – Agent

Acquafresca’s future is still up in the air and his agent has revealed the striker’s return to his parent club is not certain.

Cagliari forward Robert Acquafresca looks poised to leave Sardinia for good this summer and go back to Italian champions Inter, who still own his contract.

Beneamata boss Jose Mourinho is said to be an admirer of the 21-year-old and would love to have him in his squad for next season, however, the player’s agent is still cautious.

“Robert has a 50 per cent chance of wearing the Nerazzurri shirt next season,” Paolo Fabbri told 24oredisport.com.

“I would be surprised if Inter decided to sell him outright. He is 21 and, should he hit big time elsewhere, Inter would be in big trouble.

“Furthermore, Mourinho holds him in high regard. If anything, they could loan him out again or opt for a co-ownership deal.

“In this case, we would have to discuss the issue of [Robert’s] destination. There are several sides keen on his services, but I have not been in contact with them so far. He would love to join a side that have European ambitions and he could even stay put in Cagliari. It’s up to Inter to make a decision.”
