Inter captain Javier Zanetti is desperate to defend the Coppa Italia trophy as he prepares for Sunday's final against Palermo.
The world champions lifted the Coppa last year as part of a unique treble which included Serie A and the Champions League.
Despite failing to replicate that feat this season, the objective is the same for the Argentine, as he looks to respond to city rivals' AC Milan and their Scudetto win.
"This is an historic occasion for Palermo, but in a certain way it is for us too. We want to end the season with our third trophy," he told Inter Channel.
Palermo, who were runners up in 1979 against Juventus, stand in the way and Zanetti is aware of the threat posed by the Sicilian side.
"This is going to be a dangerous game, because Palermo are very difficult to face," he added.
"Javier Pastore is a very important player for them, but he is certainly not the only danger man. We need the real Inter, the team that does not get it wrong in the big games."
The game takes place in Rome's Stadio Olimpico tomorrow evening.
