Inter would have defeated Juventus if we had scored in the first half, says Poli

Inter midfielder Andrea Poli has expressed his disappointment with his side's 2-0 Serie A loss away against Juventus on Sunday evening.

The former Italy Under-21 star feels that the Nerazzurri could have bagged the full three points with a bit more luck, as he believes the opening goal was decisive.

"We played well in the first half and we had a few chances, then they scored and that took the wind out of our sails," Poli was quoted as saying on the official Inter website.

"Unfortunately these are matches that are decided by details. If we had scored in the first half, we would have won. It's a pity because the team performed really well."

Claudio Ranieri's side have dropped to eighth spot in the Serie A table following this weekend's results, 10 points behind Lazio who occupy the final Champions League qualifying position.
