Obafemi Martins' agent has stated that two Italian clubs are interested in his client, but says Palermo are not one of them.

In an exclusive interview with Goal.com Italy, Roberto Calenda revealed that the Rubin Kazan forward is in demand.

"Martins in Italy? Let's say there are big possibilities for it to happen. We are dealing with some Italian clubs.

"There are two good teams that are interested in the player. We're working on it, we'll see what happens," he stated optimistically.

But the representative was keen to stress that the team from Sicily were not one of the interested parties.

"There is no negotiation taking place with Palermo for Martins, there is nothing," he concluded.

The 26-year-old had an injury-affected 2010/11 with English side Birmingham City.
