Dario Canovi, the agent of Inter midfielder Thiago Motta, has made it clear that the Italy international is open to a move to Roma if he decides to leave the world champions in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old midfielder has been linked with AC Milan, Roma, Napoli and Zenit St Petersburg in recent weeks and the Italian capital is his preferred destination if he leaves San Siro.
"If Thiago Motta decides to leave Inter this summer, Roma will be his first choice," Canovi was quoted as saying by Il Corriere dello Sport.
Motta joined Inter from Genoa in the summer of 2009 and has a contract with Inter until the summer of 2013.
The midfielder's agent recently declared that Motta's primary objective is to stay at his current club, but the former Barcelona player could well be on his way out of Gian Piero Gasperini's squad following Canovi's recent remarks.
