The former Genoa coach, 53, signed a two-year deal with the San Siro outfit on Friday.
And, the hard work has already started after meeting CEO Ernesto Paolillo, and transfer director Marco Branca in Milan.
"I am very happy and I feel confident enough to promise I will give my best," Gasperini said, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"I am eager to start work already. We will give our maximum. We will have to work hard, but I want to ensure we have a good season."
Former Inter coach Giovanni Trapattoni agrees Gasperini is the right man for the club.
"He is an excellent coach and Inter did well to choose him," the Republic of Ireland boss is quoted as saying by Milannews.it.
