David Trezeguet appears poised for a Napoli move as his agent Antonio Caliendo feels there is a 50 per cent chance he will join the San Paolo outfit.
The Hercules striker, who is tied to the Spanish club until 2012, but is currently trying to rescind his contract, is expected to leave after they were relegated to the Segunda Division last term.
Trezeguet, 33, looks set to return to Serie A with Napoli as Caliendo confirmed negotiations are underway.
"I can say that at 50 per cent, Trezeguet will play for Napoli next season," Caliendo told Radio Crc.
"I know Trezeguet would be the first alternative to three strikers at Napoli who are in the Champions League and the experience would be welcomed by my client.
"I have been speaking with [Napoli director Riccardo] Bigon and there are various prospects which have been left open."
The Frenchman scored 12 goals in 31 Liga matches last term, but it was not enough to help the team avoid relegation.
