Inter have reportedly agreed a transfer fee with Cesena for Yuto Nagatomo, with the left back expected to join the Milanese club permanently for a fee in the region of €8.5 million.

The Japan international spent the second half of the season on loan at the world champions, and coach Leonardo wants to keep the player at the club for 2011-12 and beyond.

According to Sankei Sports, the clubs have agreed an initial fee of €6.5 million, with a further €2m used to buy out the remainder of Nagatomo's contract at Cesena.

The deal is also believed to include a pre-requisite that promising young players will move to Marco Giampaolo's side from the Giuseppe Meazza in the near future.

Nagatomo is currently on international duty at the Kirin Cup, and spoke to reporters detailing his ambitions for next season, stating: "I am happy to play at Inter and want to continue to do my best. I always try to [give] the maximum in every match and I do everything to keep myself in good shape."

The 24-year-old made 13 appearances for Serie A's runners-up last season, scoring two goals.
