Genoa will sell Domenico Criscito – president Enrico Preziosi

The Serie A side’s patron has disclosed that the Italian left-back will “certainly leave” in the summer and is “ready to negotiate” with any interested club

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has revealed that Domenico Criscito will no longer play for the club and has confirmed Napoli as a possible destination.

The 24-year-old’s career has shifted between Genoa and Juventus, and he has been with the former since 2009. The Italian international defender has developed to be one of the better players in Serie A, and Preziosi admits that he can no longer expect the left-back to continue for play for his team.

“The boy will certainly leave,” Preziosi told Radio Kiss Kiss on Thursday. “He’s been at Genoa for some time and it is only right that he moves on to a different club.

“A switch to Napoli? It has been discussed, but I don’t see a great amount of interest from the Azzurri for Mimmo. As far as I am concerned, I am ready to negotiate and people know where I am.”

Criscito featured 36 times for Genoa in the 2010-11 Serie A campaign, providing three assists.
