Inter to offload Julio Cesar to Roma and bring back Emiliano Viviano - report

Brazil goalkeeper could be himself leaving the Coppa Italia champions as Roma are said to be keen on signing him with Viviano on standby
Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar has been offered to Roma as the San Siro outfit set their sights on Italy international Emiliano Viviano.

Sky Sport Italia reports a number of transfer market officials have opened dialogue with the Lupi as Inter look to make space in their team for the 25-year-old shot-stopper.

Brazilian Cesar, 31, has played for the Nerazzurri since 2005, but the Milanese giants are keen on bringing Viviano in from Bologna permanently.

Viviano has stated his desire to return as he is currently on a co-ownership deal between the Rossoblu and Inter, but he wants guarantees he will be first-choice between the sticks.

And, with Cesar in the way, that is unlikely to happen. Thus the former champions are reportedly trying to sell the Brazil international to pave the way for the Italian's arrival.

Cesar's deal with the club expires in 2014.
