Agent Mino Raiola has made it clear that Slovakian international Marek Hamsik will not leave Napoli for Serie A champions AC Milan in the summer transfer window.
Raiola played a big role in the transfers of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho to San Siro last summer, but the agent does not think Hamsik will follow suit.
"Marek Hamsik will not be the big transfer coup of AC Milan this summer. The player has an ongoing contract with Napoli and I expect him to stay put," Raiola was quoted as saying by Radio Radio.
Raiola went on to say that the 23-year-old was close to joining Juventus in the summer of 2009, but they eventually opted to sign Brazilian playmaker Diego.
"Juventus could have signed him in 2009. They were very close to completing the deal. They eventually decided to go for Diego though."
Diego failed to make an impact in Turin and was offloaded to Wolfsburg in the summer of 2010.
