Juventus back in for Hamburg's Eljero Elia - report

The Netherlands international is continually being linked with a move away from his current club and a transfer to Italy could be on the cards
Netherlands international Eljero Elia could be on his way out of Bundesliga side Hamburg at the end of the season as struggling Serie A giants Juventus have shown an interest in signing the winger, Il Corriere dello Sport reports.

The Turin side are desperate to add a new left-sided player to their squad in the summer transfer window and had initially set their sights on Olympique Lyonnais star Michel Bastos.

However, sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has now turned his attention to 24-year-old Elia instead as Juventus are reluctant to meet Lyon's asking price for the Brazilian.

Elia joined Hamburg from Twente in the summer of 2009 and quickly became an important first team member, but he has been unable to make an impact this season and the German side appear to be ready to cash in.

The winger's current contract runs until the summer of 2014, but an offer in the region of €10 million could be enough to lure him away from HSV.
