Argentinian playmaker Lucho Gonzalez could be on his way out of Ligue 1 champions Olympique de Marseille at the end of the season as Serie A side Roma have shown an interest in signing the midfielder, L'Equipe reports.
The Italian outfit are looking to add a creative midfielder to their squad in the summer transfer window and they reportedly consider the 30-year-old to be the perfect addition to their roster.
Gonzalez joined Marseille from Porto in the summer of 2009 and has since developed into a key player at the French outfit. His good performances haven't gone unnoticed elsewhere and a move to Italy could now be on the cards.
The gifted midfielder won't be available on the cheap though as his current contract with Marseille runs until the summer of 2013, but with Roma looking to build a squad capable of competing for the Scudetto under new owner Thomas DiBenedetto, there could be funds made available to launch a swoop.
