Attacking midfielder Jorge Martinez could be on his way out of struggling Serie A giants Juventus at the end of the season as fellow Italian side Fiorentina have shown an interest in signing the Uruguay international, Il Corriere dello Sport reports.
The Tuscans are in the market for a new attacker to replace Adrian Mutu, who could leave this summer, and they reportedly consider the 28-year-old to be a good replacement for the Romanian forward.
Martinez started his professional career with Wanderers and also wore the jersey of Nacional and Catania before joining Juventus in the summer of 2010.
However, the winger has failed to live up to the high expectations in his first season with the Old Lady, mainly warming the bench, and so he could opt to leave Turin in order to get more playing time elsewhere.
His current contract with Juventus runs until the summer of 2015, meaning that Martinez won't be available on the cheap.
