The agent of Roma attacker Mirko Vucinic has revealed that his client is eager to stay at the Serie A side and is ready to respect his ongoing contract.
The Montenegro international has been struggling to make an impact this season and has been linked with a move away from the Italian capital, with the Premier League being named as a possible destination for the 27-year-old.
"I've been reading stuff about how Mirko has been performing bad because he wants to leave the club. That's why I want to clarify his situation," said representative Alessandro Lucci to Il Corriere dello Sport.
"We met with the club's directors in January for reasons outside of football. But that's solved now and Mirko is keen to prove his worth for the squad again.
"He's feeling very well at Roma and has an ongoing contract. He has never asked for a new and improved deal and it's absolutely not true that Mirko wants to leave the club. We'll now have to wait and see what the new owner's plans are."
Vucinic joined Roma from Lecce in the summer of 2006 and has since made well over 100 official appearances for the Wolves.
