Cagliari agree deal for Mjallby's Moestafa El Kabir

Mjallby's Moestafa El Kabir is on the verge of a summer move to Serie A outfit Cagliari, though he will continue to play in Sweden until the 2011-12 Italian season begins
Cagliari are on the verge of agreeing a deal to bring Moestafa El Kabir to the Sardinian club from Swedish outfit Mjallby at the end of the season.

The Moroccan striker has impressed the Serie A club with a number of impressive performances in the Allsvenskan and will join Roberto Donadoni's men in the summer for an undisclosed fee.

"We have agreed a deal with Cagliari and I will travel to Italy with Moestafa tomorrow for the medical and thereafter conclude the deal," Mjallby sporting director Thomas Borstam told Fotbolldirekt.com.

"We have done a good deal and he will not leave until August."

The 22-year-old joined the struggling Swedish club from Dutch outfit NEC in 2010 and has scored 10 goals in 23 league appearances.

Cagliari are currently performing well in Serie A, sitting in ninth place with a slim chance of making next season's Europa League.
