Inter's Andrea Ranocchia expected to recover from injury in time to face Milan

Reigning Serie A champions Inter have received some positive news on the injury front in the build-up toward the upcoming league match away against arch rivals Milan on Saturday, with the news that centre-back Andrea Ranocchia is expected to recover from injury in time to feature at San Siro.

Tuttosport reports that the Italy international, who sustained a knee injury ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifier between Slovenia and was forced to withdraw from the Azzurri squad as a result, is likely to be fit in time to take his place in the Nerazzurri's defence for the derby clash.

The former Genoa defender will return to Inter later on Monday to undergo treatment and is expected to join his teammates on the training pitch later this week.

The stopper has quickly developed into an important first-team member at Inter since joining the Champions League holders in the January transfer window, and head coach Leonardo will be pleased to see Ranocchia back in action again.
