Milan And Inter Not Only Teams Left In Scudetto Race - Massimo Moratti

Inter president Massimo Moratti has made it clear that the battle for the Italian league title is not a two-horse race between Milan and the Nerazzurri.

The world champions have narrowed the gap behind the Rossoneri to two points in recent weeks, but third placed Napoli are trailing i Diavoli by only three points, while Udinese are currently six points behind.

"I wouldn't say that Milan and Inter are the only two teams left in the Scudetto race. We are closing in but I get the impression that Napoli are playing well," Moratti was quoted as saying on the official Inter website.

"This year it's a great championship and great fun because there are three teams in the running. Milan looked like they had opened up a gap but now Napoli are very close too."

Moratti also quickly discussed the upcoming derby against Milan after the international break, and made it clear that it's too early to talk about it already.

"The derby is a match in itself. There's no point thinking about it now though. The important thing is how the players react when they take to the pitch and their state of mind."
