Inter Interested In Bologna's Gaston Ramirez - Club Director

Italian and European champions Inter have expressed their interest in signing youngster Gaston Ramirez from Bologna but aren't the only ones keeping tabs on the midfielder, according to the club's director of sport.

Carmine Longo has revealed that a number of top clubs have shown an attraction to the 20-year-old, but insists that they will continue to resist the offers as long as they can.

The Uruguay international is said to be one of the better young players currently plying their trade in Serie A and recently found the target against Cagliari and Lecce in Serie A. Ramirez joined Bologna from Penarol last summer.

Speaking to Telecentro, Longo admitted that offers have started to come and said: “He has five years remaining on his contract. He'll stay at Bologna for as long as we manage to resist the pressure from the offers.

“He already has some important offers. At the moment he isn't ready, and we aren't either. Inter aren't the only ones interested."

Bologna are currently in tenth place in Serie A with 40 points from 30 matches.
