Germany international Sami Khedira has attracted the interest of fallen Italian giants Juventus with his good performances for Real Madrid in the 2010-11 campaign, Cadena Ser reports.
The Old Lady are determined to add some fresh blood to their midfield in the summer transfer window and they had initially set their sights on Barcelona's Javier Mascherano.
However, the Argentinian international appears to be too expensive for la Vecchia Signora, prompting them to turn their attention elsewhere.
23-year-old Khedira started his professional career with Stuttgart and joined the Spanish giants in the summer of 2010. The highly-rated midfielder has since developed into an important first-team member at los Blancos.
Nevertheless, Khedira won't be available on the cheap either if Juventus decide to make a move for the midfielder, with the German's current contract with Madrid running until the summer of 2015.
