Highly rated midfielder Luka Modric has attracted the interest of Italian champions Inter with his good performances for Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur this season, if a report in Tuttosport is to be believed.
The Nerazzurri are in the market for a new midfielder to replace the ageing Dejan Stankovic at the end of the season and they reportedly consider the 25-year-old Modric to be the perfect addition to their ranks.
Modric started his professional career with Dinamo Zagreb and joined his current club in the summer of 2008. The Croatia international has since developed into a key player at Spurs and his good form has earned him the interest of several top clubs.
The playmaker has previously been linked with clubs such as Manchester United and Barcelona, and Inter have now joined the race for Modric's signature.
Tottenham recently put a €58 million price tag on Modric, but Inter are hopeful of making the London side drop their asking price by including versatile attacker Goran Pandev in the deal.
Modric's current contract with Spurs runs until the summer of 2016.
