Inter Coach Leonardo Focused On Genoa Clash And Not On Juventus - Milan Outcome

Inter coach Leonardo played down his team's victory over Sampdoria last week, and affirmed that everyone in the Nerazzurri camp was focused on taking down Genoa on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Wesley Sneijder and Samuel Eto'o led Inter to a deserved 2-0 triumph against Sampdoria, a result which leaves last year's Italian, European and World champions second in the table behind closest rivals Milan. The coach however is determined to move forward and keep the good results flowing.

"Up until now everything has gone well for us," Leonardo stated in a press conference as he marked two months since taking over from Rafa Benitez.

"Because of some injury worries we have not had it all our own way. Some people say we will be a remodelled team against Genoa, but if you look at our probable formation you will see that a balanced side is going out to play."

The coach was also grilled about the massive fixture this weekend between Juventus and Milan, which kicks off later on Saturday evening. He gave a typically understated response when asked how important this encounter would be in deciding the fate of the Scudetto.

"This could seem the easy answer, but tonight's match does not determine anything. We are focused on ourselves, we have a lot of big games to play and we must think first about improving our play, because that will give us the chance to achieve great things this season."
