Chelsea To Make Swoop For Inter's Wesley Sneijder - Report

Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder has reportedly attracted the interest of Chelsea.
Netherlands international Wesley Sneijder could be on his way out of Italian title holders Inter at the end of the season, as Premier League titans Chelsea have shown an interest in signing the playmaker.

The London side are in the market for a new attacking midfielder to replace the ageing Frank Lampard and the consider the 26-year-old to be the perfect replacement, according to a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Sneijder is a product of the Ajax youth academy and also wore the jersey of Real Madrid before signing for Inter in the summer of 2009.

The gifted midfielder played a major role in Inter's treble win last summer and also excelled at the 2010 World Cup.

Sneijder's current contract with Inter runs until the summer of 2013, and so the Dutchman won't be available on the cheap if Chelsea indeed decide to make a move at the end of the season.
