Carlo Ancelotti: Coaching Roma Is In My Plans For The Future

Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti has denied talk he plans to coach Roma, but admits he would take such a route if his adventure at Stamford Bridge hit the buffers.

Ancelotti continues to be linked with the Giallorossi, who many believe are looking for a permanent coach in the summer as Vincenzo Montella is an interim solution at Trigoria.

And the former Milan coach is biding his time, suggesting a move back to the capital, where he played as a midfielder, won't be a short-term solution, but a long-term aim.

"Coaching la 'Magica' has always been my desire. I have expressed many times that it is my wish to coach Roma," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport's 'Extra Time'.

"However, this doesn't mean that I will do it tomorrow. I hope to stay at Chelsea as I am well in London, and I have a year's contract."

The Blues have not had the best of seasons, leading to speculation he could leave at the end of term.

"If they send me away at Chelsea? It means I will be a tourist for one year," he concluded.

Chelsea take on Manchester United at Stamford Bridge tonight in the Premier League, with a 19:45 GMT kick-off.
