Inter Bought Wesley Sneijder Instead Of Mesut Oezil - President Massimo Moratti

Inter president Massimo Moratti considered landing Real Madrid and Germany star Mesut Oezil before he left the Bundesliga...
Inter president Massimo Moratti has admitted that the Nerazzurri wanted to sign Germany international Mesut Oezil, now of Real Madrid, when he was still playing in the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen.

Inter are preparing to take on Bayern Munich on Wednesday night in a repeat of last year's UEFA Champions League final. The Serie A champions' run to the final of the competition was heavily influenced by Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder, the player Moratti decided to purchase instead of Oezil.

"Who would I like to buy? Oezil is a great player. Some time ago we also thought about buying him, but then we decided to take Sneijder," Moratti told Tuttosport.

Inter and their city rivals Milan are now reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Tottenham midfielder Sandro after the Brazilian youngster impressed at San Siro last week as Spurs toppled the Rossoneri. The two Milanese giants are ready to do battle in the summer to sign the hot prospect.
