Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo was delighted to make his debut for the club in the 5-3 win over Roma on Sunday evening at San Siro. The 24-year-old came on as a second-half substitute and is looking forward to more appearances.
"The stadium in Milan is really amazing," he was quoted as saying by the Italian press.
"I did not sleep because of all the excitement and when I entered the field my heart was racing. I was ready to give my best, but I entered the pitch and tried to play in a serene manner and also offer something in attack."
The Asian star has gathered plenty of headlines since his move from Cesena, but he insists that he is settling well in Milan among all the buzz from the Japanese press.
"The environment and the squad I have found are fantastic. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like one of them very quickly," he concluded.
