Inter Coach Leonardo Underlines Importance Of Beating Bologna

Leonardo hopes the signs of encouragement continue against Bologna as Inter continue climbing...
Inter coach Leonardo has described Saturday night's Bologna clash as "fundamental" as he seeks more progress in the league.

His side are in a good mood having come off the back of a 3-2 win over Genoa in midweek to seal their place in the Coppa Italia last eight.

It's now back to Serie A business with Bologna standing in the way.

"The first games were important and a sign for ourselves, but all games are fundamental. We must move on and think about Bologna," Leonardo told the press.

"They are a team in good form and are positive, we have to be very careful against them."

Leonardo is unbeaten thus far, but Inter continue to concede goals.

"These are all avoidable goals, we have to work on this to improve."

Javier Zanetti will play his 519th game -  moving him level with club record-holder Giuseppe Bergomi.

"The consistency Zanetti displays in all his games is incredible," he added.

"He is a legend as he equals Bergomi's record."

Here is Inter's match squad:
Castellazzi, Orlandoni, Gallinetta; Cordoba, Zanetti, Lucio, Maicon, Ranocchia, Materazzi, Chivu, Santon; Stankovic, Thiago Motta, Mariga, Cambiasso, Obi; Eto'o, Milito, Pandev, Biabiany.
