Adrian Mutu is unlikely to be offered a contract beyond his current 2012 deal at Fiorentina as Pantaleo Corvino claims there are no plans to tie the Romanian down.
Corvino's claims are in stark contrast to what Mutu revealed two weeks ago when he said an offer of signing a new five-year extension was rejected.
"Mutu? We have no offered him any extension, and we won't," Corvino is quoted as saying on Goal.com Italia.
Alberto Gilardino and Riccardo Montolivo have both been linked with futures away from Tuscany.
But the Viola chief said that talk was premature, insisting both men have refulgent times ahead of them.
"Fiorentina will not dismantle the squad. Gilardino is staying and Montolivo is thinking about renewing," he said.
