Brazilian clubs Corinthians, Palmeiras and Flamengo have all been linked with the striker. But in stark contrast to reports, he has set the record straight, insisting he has never thought about quitting the capital-based side.
"I am not thinking about Brazil. I am a Roma player and this team can hold its own in the Champions League and Serie A," he told Il Corriere dello Sport.
He then added his future was "with Roma", and said that he is "certain" of this.
The 28-year-old has read plenty into the saga surrounding his future, and wanted to offer his view on what has been said.
"I wanted to speak after everything that I heard against me. It's not nice when people speak about Adriano without hearing him first," he added.
"Too many people are talking, especially in Brazil. They said I was in Rio [De Janeiro] a few weeks ago having fun with girls, but in fact I was training hard at Trigoria recovering from my ankle injury.
"Flamengo, Palmeiras and Corinthians? I have made my choice and it's Roma."
