Zlatan Ibrahimovic haunted his former side Inter with current team Milan to give the Rossoneri a derby dream three points yesterday evening. After the 1-0 victory, Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has played down talk that the six-point gap between the two Milanese teams in the league is not enough yet to shake off their rivals for the Scudetto.
"Six points is quite a lot and we will continue to work calmly but this six points isn't enough. The team did very well, they didn't give anything away, not even when we were down to 10 men. We played well, we were aggressive and we created many chances, I am happy with that," Allegri told FIFA.com
The coach was full of praise for Ibrahimovic, the big Swede converting his first half penalty to grab victory.
"He scored, he had a great game, he helped his team-mates, he was available like in other games. When you play like this you can get good results. We showed sacrifice in defence and desire to attack when we had the ball."
Milan are now one point clear at the top of Serie A, Lazio also having won in their game against Napoli in the lunchtime kick-off.
