Fiorentina's second choice keeper Artur Boruc is expected to leave Florence in the new year if the former Celtic player will only be given his chance in the Coppa Italia, according to La Nazione.
The Polish shot stopper did not move to Italy to not be tested at the highest level, and against Empoli last night in the Viola's 1-0 victory in extra-time Boruc could have barely called the evening a test. In 120 minutes he was very rarely called into action as his side toiled before clinching a late, late win.
With fellow goalie Sebastien Frey at his most determined to claim attention from the French national team, he has become untouchable for coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. It would appear for now that only in the case of injury will Boruc get his chance.
