Roma ace Francesco Totti has sent his message of praise to Juventus ace Alessandro Del Piero, but Daniele De Rossi is out of the Basel clash along with Mirko Vucinic and Jeremy Menez.

Totti released a message for Del Piero on his official website after the Juve captain equalled Giampiero Boniperti's 178 Serie A goal haul against Lecce.

The message reads:

"Precise control, ball from right to left sending the defender out of time and then an unstoppable shot.

"Today's goal from Del Piero, which allowed him to reach Boniperti with 178 goals was very beautiful!!!

"Grande Ale. You're a real talisman and a symbol of your team. I send you my best wishes for this new achievement."

However, Roma face testing circumstances when they clash with Basel in the Champions League as injuries to key players indicate upheaval.

Claudio Ranieri confirmed Vucinic, De Rossi and Menez are all out.
