Rafael Benitez Confident Inter Will Improve

Inter boss Rafa Benitez is adamant that the team will improve sooner than later...
Inter coach Rafael Benitez has told the press he believes the Nerazzurri can definitely improve and is happy to put in the hard work necessary for that to happen.

The Nerazzurri currently lie joint-second in Serie A on 11 points with Milan and Napoli, two points behind leaders Lazio, following their 0-0 draw with Juventus at San Siro.

"Physically and tactically the team can improve," he admitted during an interview with Inter Channel.

"This morning before I arrived here at the sports centre, I looked at some of our matches making annotations. For myself we can improve. Indeed, I'm not worried, I'm very happy. It's clear we can improve and this is why we are very busy working on the field."

Meanwhile, he highlighted one of the major differences in play between Italy and England, claiming that the ball is more often kept on the ground in Serie A.

"In Italy it's less important than in England," he continued.

"It's clear that if [Philippe] Coutinho, [Jonathan] Biabiany, [Samuel] Eto'o, and [Wesley] Sneijder are playing this does not make a difference, but the ball will be played on the ground, while in the air Lucio, [Ivan] Cordoba, and [Walter] Samuel are important.

"Italian football is not British football, but it's always important to have good players in the air."
