Inter Midfielder Dejan Stankovic Blames Fatigue For Scoreless Derby D'Italia Draw

Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic says playing every three days played a part in how the match against Juventus fared.
Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic believes the match against Juventus was a tactically estute battle between both sides, not giving anything away.

The match ended ina scoreless draw, with both sides finding chances difficult to come by.

"It was like we expected. The match was fought to the end, and it was a difficult match," Stankovic told Mediaset Premium post-match. "It could have gone either way, even from a free-kick.

"We have played a lot recently - every three days - but we must go on.

Stankovic says his side tried to do well in the Derby d'Italia, but could not break through the Bianconeri defence. He also praised the refereeing by Luca Banti.

"It is the media's job to decide who was the better team. We tried to do our best in this derby.

"The referee did his best to control the match, and we need to give him our compliments," he concluded.
