Napoli have secured the services of star player Marek Hamsik for the next five years, according to Radio Marte Sport.
The radio station, which is also a club sponsor, claimed Hamsik has officially penned his new contract and will play on with the club until 2015.
Napoli have not confirmed the news and have not released details in relation to the new deal reports.
The club have been expected to secure Hamsik since March when Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president, claimed his man was in line for a new deal.
Things have moved slowly since then and talks were held up because of the World Cup and then a busy start to the Europa League and Serie A campaigns.
An official announcement from Napoli is likely to follow.
De Laurentiis has now confirmed the news. He told Sky Sport Italia:
"He has signed until 2015. I am happy that Hamsik wanted to stay tied to the Napoli shirt. His renewal shows Napoli wants to grow with their talents and to strengthen for objectives our fans deserve."
