Maicon Unlikely To Complete Real Madrid Move This Summer - Agent

Maicon's agent has claimed that the player will remain with Inter...

Maicon is happy to remain at Inter and is unlikely to move to Real Madrid, the player's agent has claimed.

The Brazil international right-back had long insisted that he wants to rejoin former Inter coach Jose Mourinho at Madrid but the Spanish giants have been unable to settle on a transfer fee with the Nerazzurri.

The move appears to be dead in the water, with Madrid coach Mourinho claiming last week that the Blancos will not make any more signings this summer.

Maicon's agent has now said that his client is unlikely to leave Inter with the transfer window scheduled to shut on Tuesday.

"Recently Moratti said that he did not want to sell Maicon. That was his last word and I really do not think at this point Maicon will leave Milan," Antonio Caliendo told Calcionews24.com.

"There is also little time to find a substitute, he is happy to stay at Inter. He still wants to win with this shirt."

Maicon was left out of Inter's squad to face Bologna in their first Serie A game of the season on Monday due to a knee injury.

"Maicon was not called up because of a physical problem, specifically muscular," Caliendo reiterated.
