Palermo midfielder Javier Pastore has claimed that he is flattered by interest from Real Madrid, but is aiming to stay with and help the Serie A side qualify for the Champions League.
"For us the desire is the Champions League - we lost out by two points [last season]," he revealed to Il Corriere dello Sport.
"We want to try again with the strength of a year behind us and being accustomed to playing together. last year we finished fifth, so the goal is to do better."
The Spanish giants have been linked with a move to the exciting Argentine, who put in a brilliant performance for the Rosanero in their Europa League qualifier against Maribor, but he is eager to succeed in Sicily.
"It's nice to know you are wanted by great clubs. I know that this season there will be talk about the market again," mused the former Huracan star.
"But I will only consider it when [Palermo president Maurizio] Zamparini or my agent tells me there is a real opportunity to move on. I don't think about it, I have a contract with Palermo until 2014."
